I love the show Girlfriends, I have watched the show since the beginning. The show however is not the same without Toni, she added the flavor. Please bring Jill Marie Jones back to girlfriends, I want to see what happens with her and Todd and also I want to see her daughter grow up. How can Kelsey Grammer who I very much respect let this happen. That to me would be on the show Living Single without the Queen. Please bring Jill Marie Jones back, I miss her. Hi Girlfriends, I will watch the show whether the character "Toni Childs" returns or not! Her character was always too phony for me. What about the talk that there is a "spin off" of Girlfriends. I hope it is a great as the original. Keep on keepin' on Girlfriends..... My friend aVeronica, and I have been watching Girlfriends from day one. I love the show and all of the characters. The roles of the four women could not be played by any other actresses. Toni is my favorite because a lot of people think that I have her personality. She knows what she want out of life and goes for it. The shows have just been getting better and better since Morgan and Toni's ex-husband came into the picture. The season finale was excellent, there was so much emotion and unanswered questions between the entire cast. This can not be the end and girlfriends must finish their story with their original cast. Without the original cast there is not show. No one can play Toni Childs like Jill Marie Jones and that is a fact. I truly hope that these facts are taken into consideration. No money can put a price on friendship and a show that is flawless and meant to last. Please make the right decision.
This is truly sad; I’ve been watching Girlfriends religiously for the past few years. I’ve fallen in love with each character for their distinct, humorous, and drama filled personalities. I am so, so, so, disappointed in the fact that Marie aka Toni Childs won’t be back for this season. I truly hope that it’s some sort of gimmick but my heart says it’s the truth. She and Joan were my favorite characters, the glue if you will, I feel like I lost a distant friend now that reports have shown Toni’s left the show. BRING HER BACK PALEEEEZE. She was fabulous in every way and I loved her confidence as well as her insecurities. I will still be a faithful watcher. But it WON’T be the same with out her. Marie if your reading this please know that your craft is well respected and trust in ME you will be missed. But good luck in your future endeavors! HhMmmm maybe a girlfriend spin off you can carry the show….cameras following u and a new crew through NYC, Ok now I’m just wishing on a star. Love ya Toni!!!!!!!!!!! I really love your show and I will be tuning in to watch next season I can really relate with Mya and I really admire how strong of a person she is. This show was one of the best african american shows on Tv to-date and I hope it stays on the air as long as Friends have. I really want to get my hands on "Soulmate" by Dre for my wedding. I love the show Girlfriends. My twelve year old daughter loves it also we discuss some of the situations on the show. Many times I had to tell her don't nobody do that for real!! and other times that is true. I also heard Toni would not return for the next season. Toni and Joan are the stars of the show and I can't see it lasting without both characters. I will be tuning in. Keep up the good work. I think it is very funny, but sometimes a little unbelievable. They do keep it real sometimes like when Toni beat that girl for setting her up. Joan seems a little controlling and unstable. I think she is going to end up being a lesbian. She absolutely pushes away every man she meets and she gets some good ones. Lynn will eventually be able to stand on her own two feet and maybe they will introduce another character that will mooch off of her. I just don't like the idea of William getting back with Monica. I despise her. But I can't wait to find out what will happen next season. I just heard on a morning radio news show that the character of Toni Childs will not be returning next season due to a contract dispute. What makes the story unique, is the fact the story is stating, she rejected her contract due to a mutual agreement between her and the other three cast members. The story states, they were going to negotiate each of their contracts on a stand together mutual front. Can anyone verify if this story is accurate? If so, it is sad to think that the other 3 cast members believe that the black viewers will still watch the show after such a betrayal of one of our own. I would love to be able to buy all the season of girlfriends Where, where, where do we bye the clutch bags on the show? I like Mya because she is like a typical black women trying to make it in life. She has gone through a divorce and had to deal with some tough family issues. Lynn, is not my type of person, but I respect her honesty in not being ashamed of what she does. Joanne,on the other hand is a drama queen just as Tony is. They have more control over their fates, yet they cry all the time. i love the show and have been watching it for a while. i really hope it that just because one girlfriend is leaving that it wont end. there are things about each one that i just love. joan i love the way you keep the group together and how you put up with their sometime selfishness. i know it is hard i because i have a couple of friends just like tony. tony i love her style and the way she is always confindent and i love that you just look good doing it. mya i love that you are trying to hold you family together and doing what you got to do even if it takes you away from the ones you have grown to love. lin i love the way you have grown over the season. because when i first started looking the show you were the only one that didn't have a career but had numerous degrees in almost everything. i love that you have taken charge of your life. i hope the show many more seasons to come. I have enjoyed the upn tv show girlfriends, since its very first episode. How long will the show run? Is today its last show? If it returns for another season through 2006/2007, will todd and toni get backtogether? (hey, if maya and darnell can rekindle their love, then....) Has anyone thought about doing a soundtrack for the show? :) I love this show. These last two weeks have been the absolute best. I love Joan. She is so crazy. I love that she is no longer a doormat. Once when I watched it is was the episode where you were mad at Toni-Childs and at the end where you guys were crying at the alter I cried it was sad once me and my friend got in a fight and she wasn’t forgiving me and I tried and tried no luck yet but now we're friends again well later.-Holly- I love your show it relates to me a lot because I love drama. I stay up every night to watch the show even though I have to get up in the morning for school. GIRLFRIENDS sometimes reminds me of me and my friends and how we act. We talk about the show everyday and what we liked about each episode. I think GIRLFRIENDS should be showed everyday all day. It's the best show I've ever seen, and talked about so much. Mya you’re so crazy but on my level you know girl. Joan you’re the reason why you guys are so close and that's good. Lin you’re so wild but smart at the same time. Toni Childs my spoiled friend but is so cool. You guys are amazing, and I think your show is #1. Keep up the good work, because you’re all talented in your own way. I can't seem to find anything on the Internet about it. I am not writing this because I don't like this show, I am writing this because I like the show and I wish it come on everyday! I like the way y’all argue and then make up I have a brother we don't even make up when we argue. i really like GIRLFRIENDS. my favorite character is joan clayton. but one thing i don't like is all the sex and curse words they be having that is a little too much i would like them to work on that. please write me back if you have a solution.
