For the period from June 1, 2006 to May 22, 2007 this Employment Unit interviewed 55 people for full-time job vacancies.
7) Supplemental Recruitment Initiatives.
(a) Initiative: Establishment of Training Program.
Several Classes were provided to enable the Employment Unit’s Executive Assistant to qualify for a higher-level position. Two seminars on creating a prosperous workplace (September 12, 2006) and Hiring Decisions (November 14, 2006) were attended through the Ada County Commerce and Labor Employers Association. One distance learning webinar on Collections was attended February 27, 2007 through the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Association. Two classes were provided through Boise State University on Accounting and Business Communications Spring Term January 2007.
(b) Initiative: Listing of Each-upper level category opening in a job bank or newsletter.
All open positions were listed on TVJobs.com and The Oregon Association of Broadcasters. These media trade groups’ memberships include substantial participation of women and minorities.
